OJ EPO 2015, A64 - Guidance for the payment of fees, expenses and prices

I. Rules relating to Fees (current text) and schedule of fees

The fees guidance currently applicable is set out in OJ EPO 2014, A37, taking into consideration the changed amounts of fees for international applications (OJ EPO 2015, A33).

The current schedule of fees and expenses of the EPO is set out in supplementary publication 3, OJ EPO 2014.

OJ EPO 2015, A65 - Important information about fee payments

1. Fee payments to EPO bank accounts must be made in EUR and transferred without charge to the payee.

2. On the bank transfer, the payer must give the following payment-reference information:

  • patent application number (not the seven-digit publication number)
  • fee code(s)

New fee rates

By Resolution No. 1140/2015 of 5 June 2015 regarding fees and Statement of Rectification No. 556-A/2015 published on 26 June 2015[ 1 ], some patent fees of the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property have been changed.

Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in Portugal are advised that from 1 July 2015 the following rates apply:
