1. Re-dating an application cannot be justified on the grounds that the later date would permit the granting of a European patent for a new Contracting State.
2. An invitation to the President of the EPO under Article 12a of the Rules of Procedure of the Boards of Appeal to comment on "questions of general interest" which arise in the course of proceedings is made to him direct.
