In accordance with Rule 89bis.1(d) PCT, and pursuant to Section 710(b) of the Administrative Instructions under the PCT, the European Patent Office has notified the International Bureau (IB) of WIPO that, as from 1 July 2020, it will not accept international applications filed with the EPO acting as receiving Office (RO) using the PCT-SAFE filing software.

By decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 22 August 2017 concerning the payment of fees by credit card (hereinafter "the decision"), the EPO introduced an additional method of fee payment.

The National Institute for Industrial Property (INPI) has informed us that by Order of 6 March 2020 on the procedural fees of the INPI the amounts of the renewal fees have been changed.[ 1 ]

Applicants for and proprietors of European patents with effect in France are advised that from 1 April 2020 the rates below apply.
