OJ EPO 2019, A30 - Warning – beware of approaches and requests for payment from firms purporting to register European patents

The European Patent Office (EPO) is aware that European patent applicants and proprietors sometimes receive invoices from firms and individuals inviting them to pay for the publication and/or registration of their applications and patents.

THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN PATENT ORGANISATION,

Having regard to the European Patent Convention (hereinafter referred to as "EPC") and in particular Article 33(1)(c) thereof,

On a proposal from the President of the European Patent Office,

Having regard to the opinion of the Committee on Patent Law,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

OJ EPO 2019, A33 - List of days in 2019 on which EPO filing offices and national patent authorities of the EPC contracting states are closed – corrigendum

The Luxembourg Intellectual Property Office has informed us that this year, in addition to the list of holidays published in OJ EPO 2019, A7, it will also be closed on the following day:

Thursday, 9 May 2019.
