GL A VIII 3.4 Joint applicants

If there is more than one applicant (see A‑VIII, 1.3), each applicant or their appointed representative must sign the request for grant and, where applicable, the appointment of the common representative. This also applies if one of the applicants is considered the common representative pursuant to Rule 151(1), first sentence. However, the common representative may sign the designation of inventor and all documents filed after the filing of the application pursuant to Rule 50(3). Authorisations on behalf of more than one applicant must be signed by all applicants.[Rule 151(1); ]
