THE ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN PATENT ORGANISATION,
Having regard to the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the European Patent Organisation and, in particular, Article 17 thereof,
Whereas the duties and powers of members of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office serving as members of:
- a disciplinary body within the meaning of the Regulation on discipline for professional representatives or
- the Supervisory Board, the Examination Board or an Examination Committee within the meaning of the Regulation on the European Qualifying Examination
necessitate their being granted the privileges and immunities of experts provided for in the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the European Patent Organisation,
HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1
Article 1 of CA/D 12/83 of 9 December 1983 shall be amended to read as follows:
"Article 1
Article 15 of the Protocol on Privileges and Immunities of the European Patent Organisation shall apply mutatis mutandis to members of the Institute serving as members of a disciplinary body within the meaning of Article 5 of the Regulation on discipline for professional representatives, or as members of the Supervisory Board, the Examination Board or an Examination Committee within the meaning of Articles 2, 4 and 7 of the Regulation on the European Qualifying Examination."
Article 2
This decision shall enter into force on 1 January 2009.
