European Patent Convention: update of the HTML version
The HTML version of the publication "European Patent Convention" (www.epo.org/law-practice/legal-texts/html/epc/2016/e/index.html) is updated regularly. It shows the texts currently in force, including any amendments (e.g. to the Implementing Regulations to the EPC) on the date they take effect.
It is now possible to display the amendments to the HTML version compared with the PDF version and the printed book (16th edition, June 2016) by ticking the "Show modifications" box in the upper right-hand corner when viewing the articles and rules. Inserted text is then highlighted in green; deleted text is in red and struck through. In the sections where there have been no changes, the box is greyed out.
The HTML version can be printed selectively or in its entirety, with or without the amendments, by going to www.epo.org/law-practice/legal-texts/html/epc/2016/e/ma1.html.
Readers are reminded that the PDF version available on the EPO website is the same as the latest printed edition of the EPC (16th edition published in June 2016). It is preceded by a list of the amendments adopted by the Administrative Council since it was published. The next edition (the 17th) is scheduled for 2019.
