GL B VI 7 Internet disclosures - technical journals

For some technical journals, the publisher's website displays the date(s) when publications occur electronically, in particular if these differ from the publication dates of paper publications (OJ EPO 2009, 456). A number of different situations may occur in the case of electronic publication, as described in G‑IV, 7.5.3.1. In all these instances, the search division prints out the journal web page where the (electronic and paper) publication and pre-publication date(s) of the article or issue are mentioned, which is then cited in the search report as an "L" document. It is best to do so as soon as the evidence is found and not leave it until later, since the information may be moved or removed from the website in the time which elapses between search and substantive examination.
