OJ EPO 2017, A84 - Decision of the President of the European Patent Office dated 11 October 2017 fixing the amount of the fee for validating European patent applications and patents in Tunisia

The President of the European Patent Office,

Having regard to the agreement signed on 3 July 2014 between the government of the Republic of Tunisia and the European Patent Organisation on validation of European patents,

Having regard to Presidential Decree No. 2017-67 of 2 May 2017 publishing the agreement between the government of the Republic of Tunisia and the European Patent Organisation on validation of European patents, published in the Republic of Tunisia's Official Gazette No. 39 of 16 May 2017,

Having consulted the Director-General of the National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property of the Republic of Tunisia,

has decided as follows:

Article 1

The fee[ 1 ] for validating European patent applications and patents in Tunisia is fixed at EUR 180.

Article 2

If the validation fee is paid late, an administrative surcharge[ 2 ] of 50% of the amount specified in Article 1 must be paid at the same time.

Article 3

The fees under Articles 1 and 2 apply to payments made as from 1 December 2017, the date of entry into force of the validation agreement between the government of the Republic of Tunisia and the European Patent Organisation.

Article 4

This decision enters into force on 1 December 2017.
