GL H II 7.4.2 Where the EPO performs a supplementary search

Where the EPO performs a supplementary search on an application which is considered to lack unity, the applicant will be invited to pay additional fees, and the supplementary search report will be established for those inventions for which a search fee has been paid. The application must then be limited to one of the inventions searched in the supplementary search. The above principles (H‑II, 7.1, to H‑II, 7.3) then apply mutatis mutandis (see also E‑IX, 4.2).
